On today’s My Future Business Show I have the pleasure of talking with writer, speaker and author of ‘Scale for Success’ Jan Cavelle talking about why so many businesses fail to cross the bridge between $1million and $10million, and some of the strategies successful business owners use to break through this barrier.

Jan is an entrepreneur from the UK who has a few decades experience running micro and small businesses. She is very familiar with all the challenges that go with this environment, having started her own business from her kitchen table as a single mother with two young children. In overcoming many different obstacles, Jan went on to build her own multi-million turnover business.

For context, Jan became ‘stuck’ with her business, and when she retired, she decided to write a book about this experience. In turn, Jan set out to find the answers by calling on the help of 30 experts and entrepreneurs across the globe who have broken through this barrier and succeeded.

Like most entrepreneurs, Jan has experienced failure and success; and has always been there to help, encourage and support other entrepreneurs through tough times. In fact, Jan was chosen as one of the first 50 women to represent the UK in the European Union. By combining her entrepreneurial experiences with her passion for writing and helping others, Jan has written a book called ‘Scale for Success’ that helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses during the big leap of $1 million to $10 million.
