Hi, and welcome to the very first My Future Business Show for 2018 and the 34th of the series.

Today my guest is Lorraine Reguly who has an incredible story that is sure to inspire.

Born in 1971, Lorraine was raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. She is a keen blogger, editor, writer and consultant with decades of experience.

Life has dealt Lorraine her fair share of problems. Some 30 years ago Lorraine was sexually abused. This experience took her down a path that resulted in drug abuse and prostitution. On her journey, Lorraine suffered through thoughts of suicide and has something to share with you if you’re having similar thoughts.

Lorraine was a school teacher who went on to become a self-published author of her first book of short stories, ‘Risky Issues’. She has more books planned, including an autobiographical memoir series and a collection of letters to her son.

Lorraine blogs at ‘Wording Well’ (which offers writing, freelancing, and blogging tips) and ‘Laying It Out There’, where she shares personal stories on ‘True Tales Tuesdays’ which features book reviews, author interviews, and other topics including information related to self-publishing.

I am so impressed with Lorraine’s skills, that with her help, I’ve committed to finish writing a book that reflects my experiences both privately and professionally – this is something I began writing more than four years ago – so I will keep you posted on my progress.
